Brock Slater to Transylvania University

2014 Kings Black Long Stick Midfielder and Close Defenseman Brock Slater has committed to play at Transylvania University in Lexington, Kentucky.  Brock will be a member of a Pioneers program in their third season of Division III lacrosse and their first season of playing in the Ohio River Valley Conference.  Brock, a 6'1" 175 pound defender was one of the most valuable players on the Black team and was recruited at the Division I, II and III level.  After starting three years of Lexington Catholic High School lacrosse,  Slater was twice named a captain and garnered All-State honors while ultimately leading the Knights to a 2014 KLA State Championship as a senior.

Lexington Catholic Head Coach Matt Campbell states, "Brock is an outstanding player and leader.  Brock has Captained and anchored Lexington Catholic for the past two years, appearing in two consecutive State Championship games.  He is rock solid as a 1v1 defender and excels at getting the ball off the ground and up the field.  Brock is a huge addition for Transylvania University,  I look forward to following his success at the college level."
