2014 Kings Black Long Stick Midfielder and Close Defenseman Chase Johnson has committed to play at Huntingdon University in Montgomery, Alabama.  Chase, at 5’8” and 150 pounds, will be joining a Hawks team that went 10-6 in the 2014 season.  As a three year starter at Tates Creek HS, Johnson used his versatility by playing three positions as a long stick midfielder, close defenseman, and a short stick midfielder. As a sophomore Johnson helped lead his team to a state title.  During his junior season Johnson recorded 18 Caused Turnovers and 26 groundballs to go along with All-State honors.  Johnson was recruited by multiple Division III schools and ultimately chose Huntingdon.

Kings Black head coach Logan Otto states, “Chase is a hard nosed kid that gives 110% on the field.  He is always in pursuit of the ball.  Huntingdon will immediately get a player that will push his teammates and bring tremendous effort every day on the field.  His best years of playing long stick midfielder are ahead of him.”
