Matt Campbell announced as Director of Box Lacrosse Operations
Commonwealth Kings Lacrosse is pleased to announce Matt Campbell as the Director of Box Lacrosse Operations. Campbell, most recently the head coach of Stickhead Elite, will take over all duties involving box lacrosse camps, clinics, tournaments and teams. Campbell will also serve his previous positions on the coaching staff with our elite teams.
A former star defenseman for the Orangeville Northmen Junior A Box teams, Campbell went on to play field lacrosse at the Trinity Pawling School and earned a scholarship to play at Division I lacrosse at Bellarmine University. Campbell started for the Knights during his 4 year career, earning the Coaches Award and was named a team Captain. He is the current head coach of the Lexington Catholic High School Knights and lead them to a 2014 KLA State Championship. Campbell also has collegiate and pro coaching experience as the head coach of the University of Kentucky team and offensive coordinator for the Kentucky Stickhorses. Campbell’s most recent successes with the Stickhead Elite team have lead them to new heights from previous seasons of competition with an overall record of 16-2-1 and two tournament championships.
Matt Campbell is an invaluable component of our staff. He brings experience at every level of lacrosse and is a tremendous coach. His wealth of knowledge of the indoor game will elevate our players immensely. Bringing a coach of Matt’s caliber to our staff at this capacity will be instrumental to the growth of the Kings program.
