Zak Blackwell Commits to Limestone College

2014 Kings Black Midfielder Attackman/Midfielder Zak Blackwell has committed to play for Limestone College in Gaffney, South Carolina.  Zak will be a member of the Saints’ Championship winning program next season after they captured the 2014 NCAA Division II National Championship.  Zak is a 5’6” attackman/midfielder that is one of the most dominant offensive players in the state of Kentucky and one of the most potent offensive threats for Commonwealth Kings Black last summer.  Blackwell was recruited at the Division I, II and III level.  He was awarded an all-star nod at the Great Lakes Games and had a standout fall with the Kings at UP Lax in Annapolis, Maryland.  Blackwell is a four year starter for Tates Creek High School Commodores.  As a 4 time 1st team All-State lacrosse player at multiple positions including Faceoff Midfielder, midfielder and the Attack positions, Blackwell brings versatility to the Saints recruiting class.  Blackwell finished his TCHS career with 130 goals, 40 assists, 300 Groundballs and a 66.7% Faceoff percentage.

“Zak is a tremendous athlete that can take over games because he is relentless in his pursuit of the ball.  He is one of the best riding attackman I have seen in Kentucky lacrosse and is arguably the hardest worker I have ever coached," said Kings Coach Logan Otto. "Limestone is getting a kid that is very coachable and willing to do anything for his team to win.  Zak brings remarkable talent as an offensive threat and will bring championship level work ethic to a championship level program.”
